Six Petals Cards - A Club Scrap card formula mash-up.

Club Scrap recently released three new card workshop kits. Each workshop teaches you how to create six cards in about 60 minutes from five 12x12 papers. The kits include printed cutapart greetings and artwork, as well as ribbon to finish each card.

After making the 6 in 60 Wine Time cards, I was inspired to repurpose the formula to make six additional cards using papers from my stash. I just love how the finished cards turned out!

Petals Cards

Creating new cards using the same formula is easy: First, gather five 12x12 papers, some favorite stamps, and ribbons. Next, substitute papers for those listed in the Wine Time instructions and follow the cutting formulas to trim the pieces. Finally, assemble the cards using the finished samples as a guide, adding stamped sentiments, artwork ribbons and other embellishments as desired.

To recreate my Petals cards, use the paper substitutions below:

  1. What's Up, Buttercup? Purple, White
  2. What's Up, Buttercup? (light) Green, Petals (darker) Green
  3. Petals Card Kit Print
  4. Fairytale Blue/Purple Duplex (Purple side up)
The formula creates two each of three different card structures, for a total of six cards.

Set A - A2 Single-fold

Stamp "happy birthday" (Petals) in India ink. Attach a silver leaf charm to each card using Club Scrap's Bookbinding Glue dispensed from a needle-tipped applicator.

Inside, stamp a Petals floral image in Amethyst Hybrid ink and the sentiment in India ink.

Set B - Split Flap

Fold a length of white ribbon in half and sandwich between the layers on the front flap.
Stamp sentiment (Under the Sea) in India ink.

Inside, stamp the floral image (Petals) in Amethyst Hybrid ink and sentiments in India ink (Under the Sea, Regatta stamps).

Set C - Vertical Hinge

Stamp leaf image (Petals) onto card panels using Leaf Hybrid ink. Add floral images (Petals) using Amethyst ink. Stamp sentiments (Petals) in India ink. Wrap two interlocking lengths of gingham ribbon around the back of the light purple panel, secure with washi tape. Add self-adhesive gem stickers to sentiment panel.

Inside, add stamped artwork and sentiment.

So what do you think? I just love these three card styles and everything came together so quickly, with no waste!

Happy card making!
