Club Scrap's 2022 Mega Meet page formula with Under the Sea
I just love Club Scrap's page formulas. They make it so easy to whip up extra pages using papers from my stash. Club Members receive a bonus formula as part of their membership each month, but there are occasionally other opportunities to collect formulas throughout the year.
For example, the formula below was designed as the make 'n take for the Great Lakes Mega Meet in Novi, MI, last year. With this formula, it's quick and easy to transform four sheets of paper into a well-balanced two page spread.
2022 Mega Meet Page Formula
After trimming the papers according to the instructions provided on the printable formula, I set to work assembling the pages. My layout features a mix of papers, including the Whale Print from the (now extinct) Under the Sea collection.
When assembling the layout, I changed the arrangement of the cut pieces on the left side to better accommodate my photos.
To really showcase the whale image, use a craft knife and cutting mat to cut along the "belly" creating a place for the mat to tuck behind the artwork. Since the print has a horizontal orientation, rather than vertical, rotate the entire page 90 degrees counter-clockwise. A few additional adjustments to the placement of the remaining pieces completes the page.
On the right side, the arrangement closely follows the original sketch.
The finished layout documents memories from a day at the aquarium. The color palette and artwork are a perfect match!
For added color and interest, trim double mats for two squares from Taupe Metallic (Fun and Games 02.22) and Under the Sea printed scraps. Embellish the small square with a faux wooden shape (Dollar Tree last year - Thanks, LisaD).
The "double mat" treatment and faux wooden shapes are repeated on the right page for balance. Crop two vertical photos to fit the 4x6" horizontal mat on the left. Trim a single vertical photo to fit the space created by the stacked mats on the right.
And there you have it, a beautiful layout created in less than 20 minutes thanks to Club Scrap's page formulas.
Happy scrapping!
