I did it!
If you'll forgive me, I'm just going to take a brief moment to brag a bit.
I set a personal goal in January (2018) to scrap each of my monthly Club Scrap kits, with photos and journaling, before month's end. I'm proud to say I've achieved that goal!
In addition to the monthly kits, I completed many of the eight page special releases, too!
So even though math is hard, I can confidently say I completed over 200 pages in 2018.
While I didn't finish my Alpine pages before the end of December, I did scrap them last weekend. (I'm allowing myself a 2 week grace period for the December kit, because, you know, HOLIDAYS.)
I did take some liberties when scrapping the Alpine page kit. While most folks would think hiking, camping, skiing, I used four of the layouts for my annual trip to Chicago.
Hey, not everyone hikes in the mountains, some of us hike the Magnificent Mile!
Surprisingly, many of the sentiments from the Alpine Cutaparts and stickers were very fitting for our adventures in the big city!
More true to the nature of the theme, the final four layouts document my annual scrapbooking trip to Silver Birch Ranch in beautiful White Lake, Wisconsin.
I got to revisit fond memories of the peace, serenity and beautiful landscape Silver Birch offers, not to mention the fun I had with my scrapping buds!
I don't ask this to make you feel bad, but to encourage you to set a goal for yourself in 2019. If this very busy, full-time working wife and mother of three can get 100+ pages done, so can you!
With Club Scrap's page kits, and approximately 3 hours each month, you can get a minimum of 96 pages completed - no cropping weekends away required. (Ooh, but think of how much more you could accomplish if you did go away for a whole weekend!)
So who's with me in 2019? Let's get those page kits done before month's end - or at least before your next kit comes.
Happy scrapping!

ReplyDeleteGosh Karen! You are a crafting machine!
ReplyDeleteAwesome achievement, Karen.
ReplyDeleteAnd all your pages are wonderful!!
I love seeing your completed pages! Great job. I also LOVE Club Scrap, and the kits make scrapbooking so much easier. In 2018, I completed approximately 180 scrapbook pages. Yay!
ReplyDelete180 pages is awesome, Heather! Way to go!
DeleteWow, Heather, that is amazing! I know that must feel so good. The CS method and kits do make it so much easier.
DeleteThat is fantastic! You are setting a great example for us. No excuses!
ReplyDeleteI am happy to say I ALSB'd nearly all of the 2018 kits in 2018, which is a first for me since joining in 2007!! The last 2 months are cut and just need to be glued. No new pizza boxes were added to stash this year. That was a good accomplishment for me.
That is awesome news, Pam! Doesn't it feel great!?!
DeleteAmazing! Must get my car together for this year! Loved the comment about hiking the Magnificent Mile!
