Memento Holder - A handmade book featuring the Farm Critters Remix page kit.

Tricia recently presented the Memento Holder project for a VOLUME online workshop. This handmade book can be used as a scrapbook, journal, or keepsake mini album documenting a special trip or occasion. 

The project allows you to transform ANY page kit, along with a few other supplies, into a fully-embellished book, ready for gifting - or to fill with personal photos and mementos.

I had a components kit left from Retreat 2018, so I paired it with a Farm Critters Remix Page kit and took Tricia's instructions for a test drive. The project is better than ever - shall we take a tour of my Farm Critters Memento Holder?

The finished book measures 6x9" and features a sturdy Folding Board cover. Club Scrap's Folding Board is available in four colors. As you can see, I chose black to coordinate with the Farm Critters color palette.

The book features a visually striking hand-stitched spine. But don't worry, the stitching is as simple as it is decorative. 

Once the project is fully-assembled, it includes a generous number of pages, along with little hidden nooks for storing memorabilia.

The cutting instructions include creating panels to decorate the inside pages, and page kit cutaparts provide plenty of embellishment potential.

Folded 9x12" envelopes create hidden storage for ephemera like ticket stubs, brochures, etc. And a clever trimming trick produces angled pockets to hold additional photos and other doo-dads.
