Easy Card Making

Club Scrap's card kits make creating beautiful handmade greetings so fun and easy. Having everything already coordinated for you really takes the pressure off. I usually closely follow the instructions for one or two cards per kit. After that, if my mojo is flowing, I let it take over.

I love the August Ivy League collection. The scrollwork stencil fit perfectly into the corner of the double-pocket card from the card kit. Apply India ink to stencil with an ink applicator tool, then use a fine tip marker to trace outline of image. Add navy grosgrain ribbon to angled pocket.

I also wanted to to try the stencil on the panels for the box-style card from the same kit. Use painter's tape (or washi tape) to connect four tan panels. Apply India ink to stencil as above, rotating the stencil a total of four times to create a medallion shape. Gently remove tape to separate the panels, and adhere to each section of the box card.

Finally, I was inspired by Club Scrap's new Medallion cut file to dress up one of the cards from the Tapestry card kit. Resize and print your own panel from the hybrid kit. Use an electronic cutting machine to cut the medallion image and adhere it to the panel with Bookbinding glue. Finish with a simple stamped sentiment on a strip of ivory trimmed to resemble a banner.

I hope these examples inspire you to get inky this weekend. Happy crafting!
