Seven Tapestry Cards
I recently spent an evening with Club Scrap's Tapestry card kit. I like to take the ideas presented in the instructions and incorporate additional elements, like the coordinating stamps and monthly hybrid kit.
For the card below, select one of the hybrid quad prints included in the download. Crop and resize to the desired panel dimensions. Print onto super smooth white cover stock.
Orphaned art panels are also a fun addition to cards. The panel below was made by adding several Color Burst pigment powders to mixed media paper, then misting with water.
Stamp the Tapestry sentiment and floral image onto an art panel using India ink.
A different art panel was created for the card below.
Blend several colors of Distress Oxide inks onto mixed media paper. Mist water onto the Tapestry masking stencil, press into the inked surface. Remove the masking stencil. Dab the wet areas gently with a paper towel to "lift" the color.
After removing the moistened masking stencil from the panel above, apply it ink side down onto an ivory panel to create a subtle background. Layer with Cutapart strips. Stamp sentiment onto kraft banner tag.
Add a left over card kit sentiment to the flap inside the card.
After assembling the cards above, I had pieces left over I could pair with card bases and panels from my stash.
Apply white pigment ink over masking stencil onto charcoal gray card base.
Punch artwork from a Cutapart scrap using a 1-inch circle punch. Adhere to bronze frame and mount to center of stenciled artwork using a foam adhesive circle.
Stamp floral image onto plain purple using Distress Oxide ink. Add Cutapart greeting and ribbon.
I hope you enjoyed these card ideas. Until next time, happy card making!
